Visit Farragut invites you to celebrate Tennessee Songwriters Week a state wide celebration of the craft that put Tennessee on the map, February 21-27, 2021.  
Join us at the Farragut Community Center on Saturday, February 27, from 7-10pm for our Songwriters Showcase.

2020 Featured Songwriters

J. Luke

J. Luke was born and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. At age 2 he traded all of his pacifers to Santa for a record player and his love of music began. Growing up he played sports and music was something to listen to and sign along with. In 2002, he picked up a guitar and learned a few chords, soon he started taking lessons. As luck would have it he developed a friendship and mentorship with Tall Paul. Gaining confidence he started singing in public and opened for some of Tall Paul's shows. A singer-songwriter in his own right, J Luke is sought after throughout East Tennessee.

Jason Ellis

Jason Ellis was born in Kingsport, TN, where he taught himself the piano at the age of 12. After listening to his first metal album at the age of 14, he picked up the guitar and slowly began to embrace the craft. He joined several garage bands through high school and gained experience from local clubs and bars until he grew into a professional musician. His talent has landed him regular venues around the area in which he plays weekly and his drive for success has gotten his foot in the door of several good opportunities to further his career. He is influenced by the standards that most guitarists are drawn to, but varies his styles as the situation demands. By keeping his skills sharp and showing his talents nightly he has become well known in the Knoxville area. The passion and enthusiasm in which he plays is his trademark and a show worth seeing.

Dave Landeo

Born And Raised In Nashville, Tennessee, Lived In The Smoky Mountain Area Of Knoxville, Dave Now Resides In The Lowcountry Of Charleston, South Carolina. Since His First Paid Gigs As A Drummer In A Rock Band In High School, He Has Performed Professionally As A Lead Vocalist, Bassist, Rhythm/Lead Guitarist, And Drummer…With Several Bands Over The Years. He Graduated College From The University Of Tennessee With A Bachelor Of Arts Degree, Where He Was An Officer In Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity And Also Served In The United States Marine Corps Reserve. His Wife Christy Landeo Is Also A Vocalist & Performer. They Have 3 Children…Who Play Violin, Piano And Sing In Their School Choir. Landeo Has Developed Into An Accomplished Entertainer As Well As Singer/Songwriter. Besides Having A Repertoire Of Over 500 Cover Songs, He Has Released 6 CD’s And Several Digital Singles Of All Original Music.
